Data protection policy for IQWiG’s Twitter profile
A. Detailed information on the processing of data
The processing of your data is handled as follows:
(1)
When you access our Twitter profile, you can receive current news from IQWiG, use the “like” button to express your approval of them, or “retweet” them to forward them to your own followers, reply to messages or to start a private conversation (if you are following IQWiG and IQWiG is following you).
User data from the public profiles of any user following our Twitter profile is automatically displayed to us by Twitter. The following data types are displayed automatically: name, pseudonym, Twitter handle, picture, and biographical data. The following data types are only available after clicking on the profile: country, location, URL of a website or blog, Twitter join date, number of followers, number of accounts the user follows, number of tweets and liked tweets (where applicable). We process your data on the basis of your consent as defined in Article 6, paragraph 1, lit. a of the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). IQWiG does not process these data and does not share personal data with third parties.
Other than that, we do not receive or process any personal data from Twitter.
(2)
The platform operator Twitter can match your visit to our Twitter profile to your social network account. The IP address of your device will be shared with the social network you are using. Further processing by the social network – depending on the recipient – may occur in a country with a lower level of data protection. You can find further details on this in Twitter’s data protection policy. Any information is deleted by Twitter 30 days after you accessed our profile.
