Diabetes

Diabetes is a metabolic disorder that causes the blood sugar levels to increase. It is caused by problems with the pancreas: In type 1 diabetes, the pancreas cannot produce enough insulin or any insulin at all. Type 2 diabetes occurs when the body’s cells become resistant to insulin, which is required for the sugar in the blood stream to enter the cells.
